Yamini Atmavilas
Yamini is the India Lead for Gender Equality, India Country Office, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. In this role she leads the foundation’s new work to implement their Women’s Economic Empowerment strategy, and build gender data and evidence to foster gender transformative policies. She served for nearly 4 years as Senior Programme Officer, Measurement, Learning, and Evaluation at the India Country Office. Yamini’s career has spanned more than 18 years, with a focus on evaluation, research, and capacity building in human development including gender, health and education, and economic development. Yamini has a PhD in Women's Studies from Emory University where she worked on women’s labour migration.
