Amee Misra is a development economist with more than 12 years of experience, working in varying capacities with DFID, UNWomen, UNICEF, UNDP, Centre for Policy Research, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. She has worked on a range of development issues including public financial management, health, education, international trade, and gender. An alumna of the prestigious ODI Fellowship scheme, Amee has strong development experience in India and Africa. She was an economic advisor at the Ministry of Education in Zanzibar, and has worked in Nigeria, Benin, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Amee holds an MSc in development economics from the School of Oriental and African studies (SOAS), an MA in economics from JNU, and a BA (with Honours) in economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University.
