Working Peoples’ Charter

Working Peoples' Charter logo

Working Peoples’ Charter is an initiative that brings together all organisations working with, and organising people dependent on, the informal sector. Founded in 2013, it has a network of more than 150 provincial, local organisations of informal workers, with a grassroots presence in more than eighteen states of the country. The charter aids in capacity building of its members by understanding laws related to informal workers, proposed bills on wage, industrial relations, occupational health and safety, along with social security.
