Priyatam works as a programme associate in the Powering Livelihoods team at the Council on Energy, Environment and Water. His role involves generating insights through primary research on the impact of deployments of clean energy technologies across agriculture, textile, and micro-business sectors. A renewable energy engineer by profession, Priyatam’s interest lies in maximising the impact of reliable clean energy based technologies for farmers and other marginalised communities.

Before joining CEEW, Priyatam worked in Sustain Plus, a collaborative platform conceptualized by SELCO Foundation, Collectives for Integrated Livelihood Initiatives (CInI) and Social Alpha, for scaling decentralized renewable energy technologies to improve livelihoods of marginal communities. His work mostly focused on overseeing various livelihood projects, involving managing & coordinating with different NGO partners, government departments and technology suppliers thereby creating sustainable livelihoods for communities.
