Haryana government announces salary hike for sanitation workers

Livelihoods: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced a hike in the salaries of sanitation workers serving both in rural and urban areas of the state during the Safai Mitra Utthan Sammelan at Karnal.

While the monthly salary of sanitation workers in rural areas has been increased from INR 12,000 to INR 14,000, that of those working in urban areas has been increased from INR 15,000 to INR 16,000.

Khattar also said that in the case of delays in payment of salaries, a compensation of INR 500 would be paid along with the following month’s salary.
