Poetry for your nonprofit valentine

Ten quatrains to make your social sector crush swoon this Valentine's Day.

1

I think we could be together,
Happily ever after;
Don’t take my word for it;
Please review my charter.

2

This may not be
A conventional seduction,
But I’m a legit
80 G deduction.

3

I’m not one for quick ones
Or hasty liaisons;
I like my meetings
To all be three days long.

4

I knew when I met you
That we were meant to be twin souls;
I have some great ideas for
Our sustainable development goals.

5

If you ever doubt that you and I
Are a cool alliance,
Just remember that I’m really, really
Good at compliance.

6

Roses and violets
Are oh so bourgeois.
We’re here in the forest;
Come drink some mohua?

7

There’s a very good reason
Why I am here;
I heard you needed
A willing volunteer.

8

How do I love thee?
I’ll count the ways, by heck!
I came here prepared,
With a fifty-slide pitch deck.

9

With you I only see the world
In shiny soap-bubble hues
I love you so much I signed up for
An MSW

If by chance this 14th Feb
You should find yourself available,
Would you like dinner and a drink
And… well, my plan is scaleable.
