Nayana Udayashankar looks at the intersection between law, policy and marine and coastal conservation at Dakshin Foundation. She has ten years of experience working in the field of environmental justice and governance. Her interest lies in democratising environmental governance. She has worked with mining affected communities on aspects of biocultural community protocols, facilitated workshops on legal capacity building, critically examined tourism from a development lens and advocated for rights of local communities in the tourism context.
