Jyoti Thakur is a 22-year-old resident of Shram Vihar Nagar, Mawaiya, Lucknow, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Performing Arts. She is an active member of SangGati Kendra, a collective of girls and women from marginalised communities working to build demand for clean, safe, and inclusive urban mobility, with a strong focus on the safety concerns faced by girls and women in everyday travel. SangGati Kendra is an initiative of the Harit Safar Campaign, run by The Climate Agenda. Jyoti aspires to become a music teacher and believes that art, education, and social change can go hand in hand.
