Abhishek Sekharan is a researcher at the Centre for Internet and Society (CIS), a nonprofit research institute working on issues related to technology and its impact on our society. At CIS, he contributes to research on labour rights in the platform economy and the Future of Work, with an aim to influence worker-centric policy formulation. His interests primarily lie at the intersections of informal work, urbanisation, and gender relations in the Global South. He has training in applied economics and interdisciplinary urban studies.
