India’s COVID-19 response limited by strong urban and tech bias
India's response to the second wave of COVID-19 glosses over the lack of infrastructure and technology know-how in rural India.
Ashali Bhandari is the managing director at People's Urban Living Lab (PULL) at Transitions Research, Goa. Her work focuses on accelerating inclusive and transformative climate action in India’s mid-sized, rapidly growing cities. She has previously worked at the Centre for Social and Behaviour Change at Ashoka University, National Institute of Urban Affairs and the Studio X Mumbai. She has a master’s in urban and regional planning from the School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania.
