India’s COVID-19 response limited by strong urban and tech bias
India's response to the second wave of COVID-19 glosses over the lack of infrastructure and technology know-how in rural India.

Clément Imbert was educated at the Ecole Normale Supérieure (Cachan) and the Paris School of Economics, where he received his Ph.D. in 2012. He is currently Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oxford and Nuffield College. His areas of research are development economics, labour economics and political economy. Most of his recent work focuses on the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA). Since 2006 he has been involved in multiple social experiments with the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) in India and in France.
