Dr Sarita Subramaniam is a dental surgeon and wildlife enthusiast. She co-founded Earth Brigade Foundation, a nonprofit whose primary focus is wildlife conservation. Earth Brigade Foundation facilitates drinking water supply in Indian forests through solar pump installations. The organisation also works on women empowerment and assists local forest communities. Sarita’s efforts to address human–animal conflict are informed by her concern for the decimation of wild habitats by human activities.
