    Foundation for Ecological Security (FES) is a nonprofit working towards the conservation of nature and natural resources to enhance economic and social well-being of rural communities. Set up in 2001, FES works towards gender-inclusive, community-led governance of commons, or common pool resources, by catalysing informed and collaborative action among local community institutions, governments, and nonprofits.
