India’s COVID-19 response limited by strong urban and tech bias

Johnson Topno is the executive director at Phia Foundation and holds an MBA in Rural Management from XISS, Ranchi. He specialises in partnership programme management, monitoring, and evaluation. During the COVID-19 lockdown, he led the establishment of the State Migrant Control Room in Jharkhand, aiding over 1 million migrants. Previously, he served as state manager for the PACS-DFID programme and worked with FES for 10+ years, spearheading initiatives in Andhra Pradesh.
