    Kavindya Thennakoon is an anthropology and film studies major at Wellesley College with a focus on design anthropology and development. She works on civic entertainment research at the Center for Civic Media, MIT Media Lab. Besides her background in research, she also works within the local education space in Sri Lanka, designing innovative training pedagogies in taking critical thinking and creative problem solving into local schools that are off the grid.
