India’s COVID-19 response limited by strong urban and tech bias
India's response to the second wave of COVID-19 glosses over the lack of infrastructure and technology know-how in rural India.
Manu Sankar is Programme Manager, PRI-CBO Convergence, at Kudumbashree National Resource Organisation. He has 13 years of work experience, specialising in decentralisation, local governance, and participatory planning. Manu has also worked on issues of environment and ecology working with Navdanya. He was a part of the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) and worked on GPDP guidelines for Assam, and was a part of the National Resource Persons Pool constituted in 2015 by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj. Manu has an MA in Political Science from Hyderabad Central University, and a Masters in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
