India’s COVID-19 response limited by strong urban and tech bias
India's response to the second wave of COVID-19 glosses over the lack of infrastructure and technology know-how in rural India.
Morry Rao Hermón serves as Director of Philanthropy at UC Berkeley. He and his wife Sandhya co-founded S.E.V.A. Travelers (Skilled Experienced Volunteers Abroad). Morry recently received the Fulbright-Nehru Academic and Professional Excellence Award to continue his work building the capacity of Indian nonprofits to sustain their operations by diversifying their funding. As a Fulbright US Scholar, Morry and his family will return to India in 2021 to conduct field research and training workshops in urban and rural areas. He can be reached at morryhermon@berkeley.edu.
