India’s COVID-19 response limited by strong urban and tech bias
India's response to the second wave of COVID-19 glosses over the lack of infrastructure and technology know-how in rural India.
Pappu Kanwar is a women’s and disability rights activist from Barmer, Rajasthan. Her journey began with the Zila Saksharta Samiti in Barmer, where she worked on literacy initiatives. Since 2003, she has been a core member of the Zila Viklang Adhikar Manch, advocating for disability rights. She has also been associated with several nonprofit organisations, including Aastha Mahila Sangathan, Digital Empowerment Foundation, and CORO India, and promotes community safety and constitutional awareness as a Suraksha Sakhi and Samvidhan Pracharak.
