    Shaikh Faiyaz Alam serves as the president of Govandi New Sangam Welfare Society, a nonprofit committed to empowering urban slum communities and addressing sanitation, climate change, and civic issues in the Govandi area of Mumbai. Faiyaz holds a BE (Mechanical) from Mumbai University and is currently pursuing an LLB at the same institution.
