India’s COVID-19 response limited by strong urban and tech bias

Sumanth Bindumadhav has a 15-year career in wildlife conservation and in harmonising human–wildlife coexistence. He founded a wildlife rescue and nature education organisation before going on to work with conservationist Gerry Martin on snakebite mitigation and research, among other programmes. Now at Humane Society International/India, he leads efforts in education, capacity building, research, and policy reform to develop sustainable and replicable models of coexistence.
