India’s COVID-19 response limited by strong urban and tech bias
India's response to the second wave of COVID-19 glosses over the lack of infrastructure and technology know-how in rural India.
Urvashi Sirohi is an assistant professor in the Department of Economics at University of Lucknow. She is currently a doctoral candidate at IIT Bombay, where she is studying the public health insurance schemes in India. Prior to that, she completed her MPhil dissertation on centre-state fiscal transfers in India from Jawaharlal Nehru University. She has done her undergraduation in economics from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University. In 2017, Urvashi received the Faculty Research Fellowship from the Reserve Bank of India.
