Arjunan works on educating young people from his native Hill Pulya community in Kerala. He facilitates Malayalam-language education for them which allows them to fight for their various rights. Arjunan is also a farmer.

The Hill Pulyas in Kerala’s Idukki district, which borders Tamil Nadu, grew up studying in Tamil-medium schools. But they had to learn Malayalam to fight for their land and escape bonded labour.
