Barnana Hemoprava Sarkar works as a freelance journalist in Mumbai, and specialises in covering rural development and art and culture beats. She has completed her PGDM in journalism from the Indian Institute of Journalism and New Media. Barnana thinks her most interesting work till date is a story about sacred groves in Siddapura, where a family she lived with is preserving an entire forest, paving the way for natural conservation.
