Kaainaat is the alliance and engagement lead at India Mental Health Alliance (IMHA), where she is engaged in cross-sectoral work and ecosystem building. She has more than 11 years of experience across programmes, partnerships, grantmaking, fundraising, communications, and strategy. Kaainaat has previously worked with Live Love Laugh Foundation, The Hans Foundation, and CREA. Her areas of focus include mental health, gender, and access to care, and how they intersect with one another.
