Kangkana Pal is a junior research fellow at the Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS), where she is part of a project assessing macrobenthos diversity along the Sewri–Nhava seascape in Mumbai. She has worked across diverse ecologies such as the Sundarbans in West Bengal and Thane Flamingo Sanctuary in Maharashtra, and her work sits at the intersection of wildlife, community, and conservation. Kangkana was previously part of the Nature–Culture Fellowship at WCS-India, and has worked with Veditum India Foundation to analyse environmental documents and the impacts of illegal sand mining on Indian rivers.
