A bid to bring back cosmos to Pfutsero
Once known as cosmos town, Pfutsero in Nagaland saw the flower disappear as the town grew. A community-led reseeding effort brought it back, now hosting a festival to celebrate it.
Kupelhi Losou
Kupelhi Losou is an active community organiser, social worker, and civil society leader from Pfutsero, Phek district, Nagaland. He serves as the director of the Kalos Society, a Pfutsero-based civil society organisation focused on community welfare, legal literacy, traditional preservation, and youth engagement. Under his leadership, the organisation has spearheaded notable local initiatives, including community programmes and the Seasoned Souls Social—a dedicated gathering to honour and celebrate senior citizens of the region.
