India's scholarship system fails students from marginalised backgrounds. Community-led models show what sustained, participatory support can look like.
Manzer is a Senior Manager at the What Works Hub for Global Education, where he works on evidence uptake and use. Previously, he worked at the Oxford Internet Institute, J-PAL South Asia, and NABARD Consultancy Services. He is the founder of Bridge Scholarships, a nonprofit supporting students from marginalized communities in India through need-based scholarships and long-term mentorship. A Chevening Scholar, Manzer holds a Masters from University of Oxford and Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
