The Mising community of Majuli carries a mental health burden as they are disproportionately affected by climate-related hazards such as floods and erosion.
Olimpika Oja
Olimpika Oja is an associate with New Initiatives at Mariwala Health Initiative. She holds an MPhil in Women’s and Gender Studies from Ambedkar University, Delhi, and a master’s degree in English literature from the University of Delhi. Her work experience ranges from teaching and academic research to creative production in films and communication design for digital media projects. She works on issues related to mental health. She was awarded the Junior Research Fellowship by UGC.
