Migrant worker starts a women’s self-help group in Jharkhand
In the face of uncertainty during the COVID-19 pandemic, this self-help group is helping its members meet their immediate needs and expenses.
Raunaq Parveen is a graduate from Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. She has strongly been expressing her experiences as a migrant worker stuck in Uttar Pradesh during the COVID -19 lockdown and has actively engaged with migrant workers’ issues in workers' webinars. Upon returning to her village, she started an informal savings group. Currently, she is working to register this group as a formal self-help group.
