Is Meghalaya learning to read its own health data?
Meghalaya needs health data that reflects its ethnic and geographic diversity. Sophisticated dashboards are only half the solution.
Dr Tiameren Jamir is a physician and public health professional with more than 18 years of experience in emergency medicine, healthcare management, medical education, disaster management, and research. He is the registrar at the Indian Institute of Public Health, Shillong, and continues his clinical practice as an emergency physician. An instructor in multiple international emergency care programmes, his work focuses on strengthening health systems, capacity building, implementation research, and improving healthcare quality across Northeast India through evidence-informed policy and practice.
