How did India’s impact investment market fare in 2021?
Investments in Indian impact enterprises recovered strongly in 2021, with climate tech, healthcare, and tech4dev receiving considerable investor interest.

Vedant Batra is an assistant manager at the Impact Investors Council (IIC), where he has led projects in the financial inclusion and blended finance space. Prior to joining IIC, Vedant was assisting development institutions through Goeman Bind, a think tank. He has also worked with the UNAIDS’s Health Innovation Exchange (HIEx) in Geneva and with Gray Matters Capital, an impact investor, in Atlanta, USA. Vedant graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2018 with bachelor’s degrees in finance and economics.
