Nisha Dhawan
Dr Nisha Dhawan is the incoming president and CEO of EMpower, where she has worked for more than a decade, most recently serving as vice president of impact and influence and, before that, as country director for India. Nisha holds a PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, where her doctoral research focused on the role of non-traditional livelihoods in advancing gender equity. She earned an MSc in Gender, Development, and Globalisation from the London School of Economics and a BA in International Politics and Women’s Studies from McGill University, Canada. A TEDx speaker, Nisha has shared her passion for amplifying girls’ voices on global stages and continues to champion youth-centred, community-led philanthropy.
