Her work entails integrating palliative care into the Indian health system, focusing on increasing safe access to adequate pain relief and patient support across the continuum of care, through advocacy for policy reform, improved education for clinicians and patients, patient empowerment, death literacy and decolonisation of healthcare. She is on the Boards of the International Association of Hospice and Palliative Care and International Drug Policy Consortium.
