A new dictionary for nonprofits – Part II

Sometimes, the words we use in our daily nonprofit life don't do justice to the way things actually work. So, we decided to take those words, and add, subtract, or change a few letters to come up with a new, more accurate definition.

1. Feel-anthropy (n)

When you have to rely on case studies and anecdotes as evidence to distract your funders from the lack of hard impact data.

2. Why-Fi (n)

The malfunctioning internet at your office that makes you question the hours that went into setting it up.

3. Con-waning (v)

When the crowd at your conference starts declining post lunch break.

4. Th-haute leadership (n) (phrase)

When only the fashion changes but the faces and conversations stay the same.

5. Yes-DG (n)

When funders ask if your work links to the global development agenda.
