She has a Masters in Health and Non-Profit Communications from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelors in Anthropology from the University of Kansas. Ara has over a decade of work experience in communications for development organisations—across sectors including maternal and child health, women’s rights, and strategic philanthropy. She is passionate about using communications to illustrate stories of transformation, giving voice to those on the margins, and rallying people to a common purpose.
