India needs persons with disabilities in politics
Persons with disabilities continue to face systemic barriers, biases, and stereotypes that hinder them from contesting elections. Here's why this needs to change.

Devarnav Sharma works as programme officer - research and advocacy at the National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People (NCPEDP), New Delhi. He has been a part of various research projects on accessibility and disability policy and has contributed to various campaigns advocating for access to health insurance, justice, and political participation for persons with disabilities at NCPEDP. Devarnav is an alumnus of Hindu College, University of Delhi, and Jawaharlal Nehru University, where he studied political science and international relations.
