Dhan Bahadur Pradhan is a pastoralist. His family has been buffalo herders for generations. He has grown up on the chars of the Brahmaputra in Upper Assam. His expertise lies in traditional knowledge systems to do with rearing Asiatic Water Buffaloes and the river systems of Dibang, Siangu and Luit. He started working with The River Project in 2021. Currently he records audio and video of vanishing landscapes and biodiversity, mentors people, and helps co-create archival films on his communities way of life in collaboration with The River Project.
