Prison reform begins where apathy ends
Prison reform in India is often siloed. Meaningful action for rehabilitation and reintegration needs sustained advocacy, funding, and spaces for co-learning.
Mohit Raj is co-founder at Project Second Chance, a prison reform initiative that empowers incarcerated youth to become agents of change within the justice system. He has incubated more than 10 projects that challenge conventional thinking around rehabilitation and reintegration for people in prisons. Mohit was part of the 2020–21 cohort of the Obama Foundation Scholars Program at Columbia University, and has been recognised as a changemaker for his work and advocacy.
