Our village school in Nagaland was assigned a retired schoolteacher
In Nagaland’s Khongka village, residents and the village council are pooling resources to keep their primary school functional despite government neglect.
N Apong is the chief functionary of the International Border Area Peoples’ Welfare Organisation (IBAPWO) and is part of Youth Involve: The NODE Fellowship. He previously worked with Tata Consultancy Services and Encore Capital Group, before returning to his village in Nagaland’s Kiphire district to work with his community. Apong holds a bachelor’s of science degree in Chemistry from St John College.
